Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had excellent rooms that provided everything we needed, although a bit noisy due to music from the bar below. The service was one of the nicest experiences we've had with cheerful, efficient, and helpful staff. The location was perfect for our needs, close to shops, restaurants, and easily accessible by public transport. The dining experience was good overall but slightly greasy. The facilities were convenient and met our needs for a comfortable stay.
The hotel offers very comfortable rooms with modern amenities, exceeding expectations compared to other accommodations in Newton Stewart. The friendly and homely service adds a welcoming touch, although there was a need for more support on one occasion. The location is fabulous for exploring the local towns, especially facing Queen Street.
The hotel offers rooms that look more luxurious than they really are, however, they are much better and more modern than other hotels I have stayed in at Newton Stewart. The stay was clean and comfortable with a lovely big bathroom, of a mid-size, freshly decorated, and comfortable. The service was friendly and polite but lacked information on local events and places to visit. The location was convenient for exploring Dumfries and Galloway, including Wig Town, being close to shops, restaurants, riverside, and walking trails. The dining experience was good overall, with well-presented meals but slightly pricy for certain options. The facilities are commendable.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were beautifully decorated, just the right size, and the ensuite was fantastic. The service was top-notch, with the staff, especially Debbie, being so welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, close to shops, restaurants, and the riverside. The dining experience was superb, starting my day off with a kick. Overall, a great experience!
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, although not very spacious. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the meals were delicious. The central location was ideal for exploring the area, but some noise from the nightclub was a downside.
A delightful stay at this hotel located in Newton Stewart, Dumfries and Galloway, perfect for exploring local towns. The rooms, though appearing more luxurious than they are, are freshly decorated and comfortable. The service is welcoming and helpful, though lacking in local insights. The hearty breakfast, although a tad overpriced, is well-presented, and the location is friendly and ideal for multiple-day trips.
